1. But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
1. Il y a eu parmi le peuple de faux prophètes, et il y aura de même parmi vous de faux docteurs, qui introduiront des sectes pernicieuses, et qui, reniant le maître qui les a rachetés, attireront sur eux une ruine soudaine.
1. Fa nisy mpaminany sandoka teo amin’ny olona, ary hisy koa mpampianatra sandoka tahaka izany eo aminareo, izay hampiditra mangingina fahadisoan-dalana amin' ny finoana ka mahatonga fahaverezana ary handà ny Tompo Izay nividy azy ka hahatonga fandringanana tampoka eo amin’ny tenany.
2. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
2. Plusieurs les suivront dans leurs dissolutions, et la voie de la vérité sera calomniée à cause d`eux.
2. "Ary maro no hanaraka ny lala-mandozany; ka ireny no hitenenan-dratsy ny lalan’ny fahamarinana."
3. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
3. Par cupidité, ils trafiqueront de vous au moyen de paroles trompeuses, eux que menace depuis longtemps la condamnation, et dont la ruine ne sommeille point.

4. For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
4. "Car, si Dieu n`a pas épargné les anges qui ont péché, mais s`il les a précipités dans les abîmes de ténèbres et les réserve pour le jugement;"
4. "Fa raha tsy navelan’Andriamanitra ny anjely izay nanota, fa noroahiny ho any amin’ny helo ka natolony ho amin’ny gadran’ny fahamaizinana, mba hotahirizina ho amin’ny fitsarana;"
5. And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
5. "s`il n`a pas épargné l`ancien monde, mais s`il a sauvé Noé, lui huitième, ce prédicateur de la justice, lorsqu`il fit venir le déluge sur un monde d`impies;"
5. "Ary raha tsy namela izao rehetra izao taloha Izy, fa namonjy an’i Noa, ilay olona fahavalo, mpitory ny fahamarinana, fony nahatonga ny safodrano teto amin’izao tontolo izao tamin’ny olona tsy araka an’Andriamanitra;"
6. And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
6. s`il a condamné à la destruction et réduit en cendres les villes de Sodome et de Gomorrhe, les donnant comme exemple aux impies à venir,
6. "Ary raha nataony nanjary lavenona ny tanàna Sodoma sy Gomora ka nohelohiny horavana ary nataony fananarana ho an’izay ho velona tsy araka an’Andriamanitra aty aoriana;"
7. And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
7. et s`il a délivré le juste Lot, profondément attristé de la conduite de ces hommes sans frein dans leur dissolution
7. "Fa Lota marina, izay ory dia ory noho ny fitondrantenan’ny ratsy fanahy no novonjeny ho afaka;"
8. (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
8. "(car ce juste, qui habitait au milieu d`eux, tourmentait journellement son âme juste à cause de ce qu`il voyait et entendait de leurs oeuvres criminelles);"
8. (Fa izany lehilahy marina izany raha nitoetra teo aminy, dia nahory loatra ny fanahiny marina isan’andro isan’andro ny fahitany sy ny fandrenesany ny asa fandikan-dalàna nataon’ireo.)
9. The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

9. "Fantatry ny Tompo izay hamonjeny ny olona araka an’Andriamanitra amin’ny fakampanahy sy ny hitahirizany ny olona tsy marina ho amin’ny andro fitsarana mba hofaizina;"
10. But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
10. ceux surtout qui vont après la chair dans un désir d`impureté et qui méprisent l`autorité. Audacieux et arrogants, ils ne craignent pas d`injurier les gloires,
10. Indrindra fa izay mandeha araka ny fitarihan’ny nofo, hila zava-mahaloto ka manamavo ny fitondrana. Olona sahisahy foana ireo, mitompo teny fantatra sady tsy matahotra hiteny ratsy ny manana voninahitra.
11. Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.
11. tandis que les anges, supérieurs en force et en puissance, ne portent pas contre elles de jugement injurieux devant le Seigneur.
11. Fa ny anjely aza izay mihoatra amin’ny tanjaka sy ny hery, tsy mitondra fiampangana hitenenan-dratsy azy ireo eo anatrehan’ny Tompo.
12. But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
12. Mais eux, semblables à des brutes qui s`abandonnent à leurs penchants naturels et qui sont nées pour êtres prises et détruites, ils parlent d`une manière injurieuse de ce qu`ils ignorent, et ils périront par leur propre corruption,
12. Fa ireo kosa izay miteny ratsy ny zavatra tsy fantany tahaka ny biby tsy manan-tsaina, fa zava-manan’aina fotsiny ihany, izay teraka ho fisambotra sy ho famono dia haringana tokoa amin’ny fahalotoany,
13. And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
13. "recevant ainsi le salaire de leur iniquité. Ils trouvent leurs délices à se livrer au plaisir en plein jour; hommes tarés et souillés, ils se délectent dans leurs tromperies, en faisant bonne chère avec vous."
13. "Ary handray ny valin’ny tsy fahamarinana izy, fa ataony ho zava-mahafinaritra ny velona vetivety amin’ny fy, ka be pentimpentina sy tsiny izy miaraka amin' ny famitahany rehefa miara-manao fanasana aminareo;"
14. Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
14. "Ils ont les yeux pleins d`adultère et insatiables de péché; ils amorcent les âmes mal affermies; ils ont le coeur exercé à la cupidité; ce sont des enfants de malédiction."
14. "Manana maso feno fijangajangana, izay tsy mety mitsahatra amin’ny fahotana: dia mamitaka ny fanahy tsy miorina tsara izy; ary mampahazatra ny fony amin’ny hafatratry ny fitiavany harena, dia zanaka voaozona izy;"
15. Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
15. Après avoir quitté le droit chemin, ils se sont égarés en suivant la voie de Balaam, fils de Bosor, qui aima le salaire de l`iniquité,
15. "Efa niala tamin’ny lalana marina izy ka nivily nanaraka ny lalan’i Balama, zanak’i Bosora, izay tia ny tambin’ny tsy fahamarinana;"
16. But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.
16. mais qui fut repris pour sa transgression: une ânesse muette, faisant entendre une voix d`homme, arrêta la démence du prophète.
16. Nefa voanatra izy noho ny fahotany: ny boriky moana dia nanao feon’olona ka nisakana ny hadalan’ilay mpaminany.
17. These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.
17. Ces gens-là sont des fontaines sans eau, des nuées que chasse un tourbillon: l`obscurité des ténèbres leur est réservée.
17. Ireo dia fantsakana ritra, rahona entin’ny tafio-drivotra, ka efa tahirizina ho azy mandrakizay ny fahamaintisan’ny maizina.
18. For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
18. "Avec des discours enflés de vanité, ils amorcent par les convoitises de la chair, par les dissolutions, ceux qui viennent à peine d`échapper aux hommes qui vivent dans l`égarement;"
18. Fa raha manao tenim-pireharehana momba ny zava-poana izy, dia mandeha araka ny filàn’ny nofo, misy fanaranam-po, ka mitaona izay efa saika afa-nandositra ireo izay velona amin’ny fahadisoana.
19. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
19. ils leur promettent la liberté, quand ils sont eux-mêmes esclaves de la corruption, car chacun est esclave de ce qui a triomphé de lui.
19. "Fahafahana no ampanantenainy ireny, kanjo ny tenany aza dia mpanompon’ny fahalovana; fa izay maharesy ny olona dia manandevo azy."
20. For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
20. En effet, si, après s`être retirés des souillures du monde, par la connaissance du Seigneur et Sauveur Jésus Christ, ils s`y engagent de nouveau et sont vaincus, leur dernière condition est pire que la première.
20. Fa raha misy efa afaka amin’ny fahalotoan’izao tontolo izao noho ny fahalalana tsara an’i Jesosy Kristy, Tompo sy Mpamonjy, nefa voasingotr’izany indray ka resy, ny farany ho an' izy ireny dia ratsy noho ny voalohany.
21. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
21. Car mieux valait pour eux n`avoir pas connu la voie de la justice, que de se détourner, après l`avoir connue, du saint commandement qui leur avait été donné.
21. Fa tsara aminy raha tsy nahalala ny lalan’ny fahamarinana toy izay hiala amin’ny didy masina natolotra azy, rehefa nahalala izany izy.
22. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
22. Il leur est arrivé ce que dit un proverbe vrai: Le chien est retourné à ce qu`il avait vomi, et la truie lavée s`est vautrée dans le bourbier.
22. "Efa mihatra aminy ny ohabolana marina manao hoe: Ny amboa miverina indray amin’ny loany”; ary: Ny kisoavavy efa nisasa dia mihosim-potaka indray."
